| We would like to announce the marriage of our director, Miss Kandi K. Barksdale to Mr. Sidney Lee Staples, Jr. The couple was married on Friday, August 2nd in a private wedding ceremony which was held at the home of the bride's mother. After the wedding, the couple traveled to Memphis, Tennessee where they enjoyed a lovely visit at the Peabody, took a carriage ride through the town, and visited an exhibit at the Pyramid. Lee is employed with Schneider National out of West Memphis, Arkansas. He currently has served 10 years with the company and holds the position of Lead Mechanic, Night Foreman. Kandi, the director and founder of the Southeast Area Twirlers, will continue to teach and operate her twirling studio. She will remain an active participant in the continued sport of baton twirling as a studio owner, a private instructor, and as a judge. She is also employed as a secondary vocal music director. |
