| AUGUST 1998 |
| Southeast Competition Teams returned from the annual Illinois Contest with one second place win, four third place wins, and one fourth place win. |

| Five twirlers performed as entertainment for the 4th of July Beauty Pageants. Performers were: Kelly H, Jamie W, Claire S, Tabatha J, and Lacey M. |

| Christmas Party Overall Twirl-Off Winners were Whitney D and Jamie W. |

| DECEMBER 1997 |
| First ever "Freeze-Out" Parade Award was presented to twirlers who marched in the Christmas Parade. The parade was very cold and wet due to snow that fell that afternoon. Twelve members of the SE Twirlers received this honor. |
